Jeans on jeans on jeans (part 2)

Jeans must be one of my favorite fabrics. I can't remember the time where I just didn't have a pair of jeans. It just fits with everything and that must be the main reason why I love it so much. Making an outfit mostly starts with taking a pair of jeans, and from there I go on with creating my #ootd. This same pattern was also what happened this day, where I eventually ended up wearing jeans on jeans. For some people this is just not done, but you guys already now that I'm a fan of this combo. This jeans jacket is one of my best buys of winter 2014-2015. Especially the sheep details make this - can I say - tough looking outfit less harsh.

Meadowhall student shopping night

On the first Wednesday evening of my new life in the UK, my erasmus friends and I went shopping at Meadowhall. It's a huge shoppingcentre - really the biggest thing I've ever seen - just outside the city centre. To 'celebrate' the beginning of the new academic year, they organized a student night where you could shop until you drop with a reduction of 20 %… So heaven can actually be a place on earth?! And I have to admit, we really shopped and dropped. We went from one store to another, with only a 15 minute (fast-food) lunch break, and even with this tight schedule we didn't have the chance to see all the shops: this place is just massive! The shop that impressed me the most, was Victoria Secret. In Belgium we don't have one - or maybe in the airport, I'm not sure - so it is always a new experience when I enter this VS madness. Although it is always über fluffy and pink, it's a fun shop and concept (but I have to admit that I still stick with the Belgian brands on this one!). For a list of all the shops, check http://www.meadowhall.co.uk/stores.aspx and definitely plan a trip to this shopping walhalla if you're in the neighborhood.

Discrete dressing

Enjoying long summer nights... Who's also doing that? I already had some vacation and went to some sunny destinations: discovering new places while tanning -> the best kind of holiday. One of the things that I like to do is taking some me-time before going out at night: taking a bath and choosing an outfit. This one is one of my favorites. I found this dress at Zara. It is super simple: the cut, the fabric, the color... Very discrete. And honestly, that is what I like the most, because you can still make the outfit special with all kinds of accessories. What do you guys think?

Spring is in the air

Yay! Today it's the first day of Spring! :) We've already enjoyed some beautiful days - where the temperature was at some points creepy high - and took out a part of our summer wardrobe. I'm not really sure what my favorite season is: I like duffling myself in a long coat with a warm scarf, but I also love wearing some light clothes and walking bare-legged... Tough choice! But luckily, as time passes I'm always happy to re-welcome the new season.

Last week we went brunching with the girls on a beautiful Sunday morning. As it was still a little bit chilly, I chose to wear my jeans combined with a light blouse and my yellow long blazer! I just love this one, because it has some kind of 'Natan-vibe' over it (don't you agree, mister Vermeulen?!). It was just perfect for this occasion, because it's dressed-up, but still casual -> the perfect combo

I can't wait to take my other summer garments out of the closet! Are you guys also looking forward to summer? And how are you clothing yourself in this transition period

Boy oh boy

Have you ever heard of the brand Boy London? It's quite underground so not very well-known, but since a few years it's on a revival supported by all kinds of celebrities (Rihanna, Rita Ora, Cara Delevingne, Wiz Khalifa...)! You can definitely say that the brand is quite dark, but totally not in a bad way! Coincidence that I bought my sweater at Camden Town?! Not at all, as this is a melting pot of  all kinds of extraordinary people (so amazing!).

This time I combined it with my black printed pants, biker boots and my burgundy coat to soften all the blackness. You like?

Contrast

Today the details about my outfit for the Karl Lagerfeld opening! Because it was a festive occasion, time to get the skirts out. This golden one from Essentiel was just perfect! I wasn't sure what the dresscode was, but everytime I'm invited to such an event,  I'm very stunned by the fact that everybody is dressed quite casual. That's why I combined my skirt with this more sporty T-shirt, what created a nice contrast. And I was actually very glad with the result... The shoes were a rediscovery. I bought them 2 years ago in New York, but never wore them... until now! What do you guys think about the result?

Jeans on jeans on jeans

Wearing jeans on jeans: done or totally not done? Me, myself and I are definitely saying DONE! I'm a sucker for jeans shirts and would wear this on everything, including jeans. My favorite jeans shirt is high blue and that's why it contrasts perfectly with the darkness of my pants. With a white T underneath and some cool sneakers on my feet (I know, an unintentionally little jingle), this outfit breathes coolness, don't you think?

2 colored

Beige and blue, the main colors of todays outfit post. As U can see, I went for casual chic: the specialness of my skirt combined with the casualness of my sweater. This outfit was crafted extremely fast, but turned out to be very succesful :). The skirt is one of the eye-catchers that you can find in my closet, so I'm always glad when a special occasion occurs. I made the necklace myself with some ribbon, thread and glue. Definitely some statement jewelry and double awesome because it's from my hand! What are the extraordinary pieces that I can find in your closet?

Dotted pants

For me (and my wallet), Zara is one of the greatest inventions in the world. By copying the high-fashion brands, they make it possible for us to buy clothes that resemble the 'real' creations. Almost every iconic piece of clothing has its look-alike at Zara. So when I saw this pants, I immediately recognized the 'dotted jeans' from Marc Jacobs in it. I'm so fond of my newest possession!

Soft

Haay followers! Do you guys like my new jacket? I just adore it. Especially the softness: the color is perfect, just as the pattern. My blue top represents my mood today, but luckily these pictures were taken a few days ago ;). PS: Lots of new material to come, definitely with all the fashion weeks coming up (Stockholm is already over, but next up are Seoul, London and NY!!!)

Dressing down

One thing that you guys don't really know yet, is that I have a huge sneaker addiction. I'm the lucky owner of lots of special pairs, for example some Adidas sneakers from the collaboration with Missy Elliott or an edition that was created by some graffiti artists. And since a couple of weeks, these beautiful Vans got into my possession...
I went out to have some dinner and didn't really want to dress up. Result: one of my favorite dresses at the moment + these newbies. I think a dress doesn't always call for high heels and that these sneakers also fit perfectly! What do you think?
