The first summer combo

Finally the good weather has arrived in little Belgium! Yay! Time to get the skirts out! I just love that first day where I can reopen up the part of my closet that contains my summer clothes and start thinking about possible new combinations to make. The pictures below show the first combination of the upcoming summer season ;) I hope you guys like it!

Subtle vs/and statement jewelry

This summer you will notice that statement necklaces are still everywhere. But it is also true that subtle jewelry is already for a very long time hip and trendy… and it stays like that!
I have to admit that I actually like both of the trends. For example: I loooooooove my Anne Zellien necklace and bracelet because it just fits with everything. But on the other hand, a big statement necklace is also nice if you combine it with some simple dressing, like a jeans and a white t-shirt. It is able to give your outfit that little more.
Still, it is not a question of one or the other: you can easily wear a simple necklace together with a bigger piece (see the picture below)! You just have to try it! :)

Jeans on jeans on jeans (part 2)

Jeans must be one of my favorite fabrics. I can't remember the time where I just didn't have a pair of jeans. It just fits with everything and that must be the main reason why I love it so much. Making an outfit mostly starts with taking a pair of jeans, and from there I go on with creating my #ootd. This same pattern was also what happened this day, where I eventually ended up wearing jeans on jeans. For some people this is just not done, but you guys already now that I'm a fan of this combo. This jeans jacket is one of my best buys of winter 2014-2015. Especially the sheep details make this - can I say - tough looking outfit less harsh.

Dotted pants

For me (and my wallet), Zara is one of the greatest inventions in the world. By copying the high-fashion brands, they make it possible for us to buy clothes that resemble the 'real' creations. Almost every iconic piece of clothing has its look-alike at Zara. So when I saw this pants, I immediately recognized the 'dotted jeans' from Marc Jacobs in it. I'm so fond of my newest possession!

Sleeves (and Valentino)

Pink and white... what a cute combo! And the cutenessfactor keeps on rising because of all the ruffles and the puffy shoulders. I love wearing jeans, so my upperpieces are allowed to be special. And 'special' is exactly what this top from Valentino is about. The fact that the sleeves are quite long, adds an extra value. It seems normal these days that brands try to use as less fabric as possible and make the sleeves of their T-shirts so short. Too short, if you ask me. I don't mind having my sweater a little too big, my top a little too long... Actually, I just hate it when everything is narrow or tight.
I hear you guys coming, and I totally agree: you have to like the clothes you wear. But more important, they have to be comfy (otherwise you'll never wear them). And what's also significative: a long sleeve makes your arm look skinnier. If you don't believe me, just try it yourself and you'll see! Hurray for the long sleeves!!!

Yellow

The seaside... A beautiful place to shoot some outfit pictures! It was a wonderful day so I went for a colorful touch. I bought this top a few weeks ago but then started doubting: good buy / not a good buy / good buy / not a good buy / good buy / not a good buy --> GOOD BUY! Hope you like the result!!!
